The start of three tough holes. This one is
short in yardage, only 347 yards, but straight
uphill. If you can get your drive over the hill
it leaves you with an 8 iron or so to the green.
If you fail to reach the top, an uphill lie will
make the second shot tougher and require 2 more
clubs than usual. Bunkers on both sides protect
the green. Out of bounds the entire length of
the hole on the left. The green is very fast and
has several extremely difficult pin positions.
Correct placement of the second shot is
imperative. If you make par here you will pick
up one stroke on the field.
