Meet the Coach
Patty Thornton our Director of Pool Operations at Sunnybrook CC
Patty has been involved in both coaching swim teams and teaching swim lessons for over 20 years. Her coaching experience spans from elementary to high school age athletes and includes age group, middle school and USA Swimming programs.
Patty's association with Sunnybrook dates back to the age of four when her parents joined the club and she began her competitive swimming career. Patty graduated from Grandville High School. While there she swam on the Grandville team. After high school she attended Western Michigan University and earned her teaching degree from the University of Michigan. She is currently employed by National Heritage Academies and teaches 8th grade English at Vanguard Charter Academy.
She is married to her husband Jeff and is raising three swimming and water polo playing children, Heath, Audra and Jared.
Patty looks forward to the 2011 season at Sunnybrook and knows that it will be a season of fun, growth and confidence building for your children.

2012 Summer League Swim Meet Schedule
Dual meet starting times are 4:15pm for warm-up with a 5:00 meet time for Tuesdays & Thursdays. The Friday Morning meet has a 8:15 am warm-up time with the meet starting at 9:00 am

6 & under, 7 & 8's, 9 & 10's -- Warm up will start 15 minutes after the conclusion of the morning session but not before 11:30 pm 12:00 pm meet starts Coaches Relay at the conclusion of the meet with an estimate finish around 4:00 pm
